Dynasty of Blood, Vol. 3 - Pilgrims of Darkness

What happens when a player betrays another player in the same party?! Picking up where Vol. 2 left off, we join Yollander, Smixer, and Cert-Iss the First as they prepare to ascend Indier Mountain - with or without their entire party.

Beverly Walsh begins carrying out the actions needed to protect her boy Stuart from the dark forces vying for his soul, scrabbling to enter his mind through the vile game, Dynasty of Blood!

Will Beverly's preparation work? Will the party reach Indier Mountain? See what more unfolds in this alternate history of early 1980s, when the Satanic Panic held America in its grip, and Satan seemingly held childrens' souls in one hand and a set of polyhedral dice in the other.

Dynasty of Blood is a fictional TTRPG of my creation, one I'm steadily (and slowly) building as I write this tale set in 1980s Indiana.

This volume, along with previous and forthcoming entries, includes actual play and portions of the fictional game itself, Dynasty of Blood!

Dynasty of Blood, Vol. 3 is 17 pages of prose fiction with original illustrations by Zachary Johnson, Luca Vassallo, and duskmorte. There is a preview of the Indier Mountain location in the Dynasty of Blood campaign the characters are playing through.

Portions of actual gameplay for DoB utilize mechanisms adapted and combined from Cairn by Yochai Gal and Shadowdark by Kelsey Dionne.

If you haven't read Dynasty of Blood volumes 1 and 2, they're available at pay-what-you-want right here on Itch and on DriveThruFiction. This volume will make little to no sense if you haven't read those, so definitely check them out first.
